Chronos Consulting’s client is a diverse and expanding B2B company. This is a newly created position in the organisation that will lead 10-15 direct reports and 2000 employees in USA.  You posses the ability to effectively communicate the vision and strategies for the business and create a highly engaged and motivated team to execute the business plan.  

The Managing Director will have a combination of experience in sales, operations, acquisition integration, and strong financial acumen with a focus on Continuous Improvement and driving Operational Excellence.  

Based in Detroit or in the Midwest (home base office with extensive travel).

The Role

Reporting to the CEO, you will:

Oversee and travel to multi-site locations (primarily in the Midwest) and ensure collaboration between locations

Analyze operations to evaluate the performance of business segments and identify potential cost reductions, implement improvements, and/or process changes

Implement policies and activities to ensure continuing operations to maximize ROI and increase productivity

Collaborate with the finance team for financial or budget activities to fund operations, maximize investments, and increase efficiency with full P&L responsibility

Coordinate the activities of business groups in regards to pricing, sales, and product development.

Negotiate and approve contracts/agreements with suppliers, customers, and federal/state agencies 

Manage capital expenditure requests and proposals, review reports, and recommend improvements or suggest changes

The Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or a technical field is required coupled with 10+ years of operational experience with P&L responsibility, and highly experienced in accounting principles, practices, and Capital Expenditure.

Open to a diverse industry background in either Manufacturing, Energy, Automotive, Financial Services, or IT/Telcom

Six Sigma, PMI, and/or an MBA highly desired.

Execute the fundamentals of Operations to maximize focus, leverage, engagement and accountability

Strong strategic planning, resource allocation, and leadership skills

Expert in delivering presentations to executive management; creative and engaging personality to motivate and drive large groups of employees

Collaborating and interfacing with internal departments such as Finance, Safety, HR, IT, Marketing

Budget consciousness, team player, problem solving abilities, customer services orientated, effective communication, and time management skills

Motivated to coach, mentor, and eager to work in a hands-on, fast-paced, and results-oriented environment
