The Asset Manager is an operational role focused on ensuring that the asset and PPM data in the CAFM system is accurately input and consistently maintained to meet statutory, contractual
Main Responsibilities/Duties Include:
The Asset Manager is responsible for co-ordinating the preparation and collation of asset data whether from legacy systems or surveys. The Asset Manager will present the collated asset data to the Asset Owners and the Contract Team for their technical and operational input on the assets, PMs and routes. 
The Asset Manager will also be responsible for the Stage 1&2 PPM planning [Labour loading and resource smoothing].
The Asset Manager will co-ordinate feedback on the PM planning from the dispatch team and Asset Owners and amend the asset and PM data in the CAFM system as appropriate.
The Asset Manager will work with the Supply Chain team to ensure that subcontract PM works are set up in consistent with the various subcontract agreements. 
The Asset Manager will co-ordinate with the central Asset Management Systems team and Technical team to ensure that best practice and amendments to Asset and PPM activities are rolled out in a consistent fashion in the contracts under their control. This includes ongoing review of changes to SFG 20 as appropriate.
The Asset Manager will be responsible for the production of accurate and timely reports regarding the performance of Asset Management and PPM activities.
Improved ability to demonstrate Statutory and Contract Compliance
Effective labour loading and resource smoothing to drive efficient scheduling and dispatch.
Better asset definition to drive life cycle management and variable works outside the core contract scope.
More granular labour load and job cost data which will allow reconciliation between bid cost allowances and actual cost. 
Ensuring continual feedback on labour load and job cost data to inform future bid modelling.
This role needs good skills in collating, sorting and analysing data using MS Excel. In addition to IT technical skills this role requires good understanding of operational process and contract obligations. 
Basic understanding of the engineering requirements that drive asset management is required to work effectively with the Asset Owners. 
This job requires that changes and amendments to the system, and operation of the system, are carried out in such a manner as to protect the integrity of historical data and asset information.
